Minutes of the Meeting of the Board – 13 November, 2010, Museum of Flight, Seattle

The CO called the meeting to order at 1:05 PM

Present: Anders, Morrell, Caruso, Clark, Smyth, Owens, Jackson, Rombauer, Teeters, Nadeau, Williams

Absent: Sherman, Kinchen, Desmon, Almstead

The minutes of the 09 October meeting were approved as read.

Committee Reports: (1) B-17 – Doug repeated the dates of the May, 2011, visit and reminded us that he needs many volunteers to make this a workable program. (2) Scholarship – Pete reviewed the 2010 program, including a count of the applicants, and mentioned there is some tweaking of the 2011 effort. The application is available online and all the schools in Western Washington will be contacted before the first of the year.

Ron McIlnay discussed the marshalling proposal that he submitted to the board last month. After his presentation and several questions and answers, it was the consensus of the board that the marshallers had more work to do within the group before involving the board.

Greg mentioned the upcoming winter activities, to wit: Annual dinner party in December, NWOC in Pensacola in February, and NWCAS in Seattle in March.

Fred mentioned that the Awards Committee is soliciting nominations for Volunteer of the Year.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30 PM.
