The CO called the meeting to order at 10:15 AM.  There were approximately 36 members and guests in attendance.  The following occurred:

Ø  

*    Guests and new members were introduced.

Ø  Veterans were recognized.

Ø  Ron invited any interested members to attend the board meeting after lunch.

Ø  Fred pitched the annual dinner party, said he was now accepting 2015 dues payments and Reno deposits, and reported on the Amazon Smile program and Fred Meyer Community Awards program.

Ø  The twelve veterans in attendance each gave a brief military bio.

Ø  Dave pitched the Oshkosh fly-in and said there were still rooms available.

Ø  Dave said we were attending the Puyallup Air Expo and he was looking for Warbird Forum volunteer presenters.

Ø  Ron & Dave briefly mentioned NWCAS

Ø  Local warbirds for sale were listed:  Ochs’ N3N, Kinchen’s PT-26, Hewitt’s C-45, and Mehrer’s several Stearmans.

Ø  Our Safety presentation was Kevin O’Keefe’s landing gear malfunction incident at Friday Harbor in July. 

Ø  Our feature presentation was “Pitching Decks and Navy Jets – Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier Flight Operations” by Mike Maxwell.

Ø  Dave asked for volunteer presenters for future meetings.

Ø  The door prize, donated by Doug Owens, was won by Dave.

Ø  Ron made a short pitch regarding NATA and the formation training he hoped the squadron would embrace.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:30 PM.
