Dave introduced Adm. William “Bill” Newman, USN-Ret, who was an A-4 pilot in Vietnam and was also CO of the Blue Angels in ’78 and ’79. The admiral engaged us with details on what was entailed in flying with and leading the Blues. We learned some of the tricks they employed to make their performances so visually stunning and enjoyable.
