Minutes of the Meeting of the Membership – 08 October 2011, Museum of Flight, Seattle

The XO called the meeting to order at 10:10 AM. There were 52 members and guests in attendance.

The following occurred:

• New members and guests were introduced; of note, some guests saw the meeting notice on our Facebook Fan page and were thus encouraged to attend.

• Fred announced the details of the Annual Christmas Dinner Party Gala to be held on 10 December

• Dave mentioned the Board of Directors would be meeting after lunch and invited all who were interested to attend.

• Guest speaker George Kuchenbecker, WWII B-24 tail gunner, shared with us the details of his recent air force reunion and then told a couple war stories about his days as a tail gunner.

• Dave gave a recap of the recent events at the Reno races. Several members in the audience who also attended the races shared their perspectives and a general discussion ensued.

• Our last act of the day was a presentation by Bud Granley, Keith McMann, Bill Lamberton, and Bob Jones on what it's like to own, operate, and race the North American T-6 (Harvard, SNJ).

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:45 PM.
