Cascade Warbirds Squadron # 2, Minutes of the Meeting of the Membership
10 March 2012, MoF,
Seattle
The CO called the meeting
to order at 10:05 AM. Forty-three were present.
The following occurred:
the CO welcomed new members and guests; he asked the vets to stand and be recognized
the FO reported that Reno will have an event this September and he encouraged members to pay their dues
the Ops O reported on the new NOAA Coastal Marine Sanctuary flight limitations
the Safety O's Safety Minute was spent encouraging pre-flights to include checking tire pressures, because overlooking this seemingly minor point has major impact on takeoff and landing distances

John Clark, in our Know Your Warbird segment, introduced us to the Brewster Buffalo, detailed its history, and explained its deployment.
Several announcements were made, to wit:
Kent Mehrer said a fly-in to honor his father Skeets is planned for 12 May at Pearson in Vancouver
Paul stated the annual marshallers' meeting is scheduled for 17 March at Galvin
Mike Kopp said Grumpy is headed for Alameda on 05 May, plus two more trips later; contact HFF if interested
Doug said he's still looking for B-17 volunteers for its May visit
Ron said the next event will be a fly-in either late April or early May; more details after our board meeting this afternoon
There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:35 PM.
